- Photo Box « MarkSelby markmakedo.co.uk
Every so often (Roughly every 1-2 months) the box searches it’s owners flickr account for photos that have been organized in some way and, picking one at random, prints the photo out internally using the small photo printer contained in the lid. You are free to search the box whenever you like but there may or may not be a photo waiting. If there is, there is no way of knowing what it will be.

- Market Research - a set on Flickr flickr.com
For this short project I wanted to photograph the cubic shape of the open-front stalls, shops and spaces in and around the market in On-Nut in Bangkok, Thailand. It is difficult to overstate how impressive, and important, tools like Google Earth and PhotoSynth are visualizing geographies and in pushing the boundaries of what is possible both technically and conceptually. But both do so at the expense of what Scott McCloud calls “the magic in the gutter“.
- PhotoLocatr: Geotag Photos Taken With Any Digital Camera photolocatr.webopticon.com
Been wanting something like this for ages. Now all I need is an iPhone.
A few weeks ago we released a version of the Flickr site tailored specifically for the iPhone. Developing this site was very different from any other project I’ve worked on; there seems to be a new set of frontend rules for developing high-end mobile sites. A lot of the current best practices get thrown out the window in the quest for minimum page weight and fastest load times over slow celluar connections.

there is the problem of how to 'monetise' Myspace activity. Advertising is an obvious answer, but the kinds of pages that Myspace users create - complete with flashing images, conflicting colours and unreadable text - are an ad man's nightmare.
