I don’t use time signatures. People have mentioned that I use weird ones, but it’s not true! The way I write does not use them at all, it completely side-steps the whole concept. I use combinations of loops that are different lengths. Usually the length of any given loop is a two-figure odd number: 23, 51, 79 or whatever. You start combining four or five of those and you can end up with pieces of music that are made up of short repeating elements but the sound as a whole never repeats exactly, even after 17 minutes.
Techno mix from and interview with Russ. "I think with Uncharted it's a lot to do with the people. I refuse to work with anyone who isn't on my wavelength. I do this because I love it so why would I want to spend time arguing with someone or being suspicious of them or they of me? It's a very honest and down-to-earth bunch of people, they are all a pleasure to know and to work with and of course they're all extremely talented." Yes.

LJ Kruzer and Uncharted Audio present the Tam Variations, eight engaging experimental versions of Tam, a piece which features on Kruzer's forthcoming album Manhood & Electronics. Each variation is the end result of methodical sequences of sound processing exploring all the possibilities of computer manipulation of digitised sound data.

Been waiting for this to drop for ages. Tim Hecker, Fennesz, Gastr del Sol, Bjork, Speedy J; very good.

What I'm tried to do is combine the things I love about electronic music, especially proper techno and electro, with... proper songs.

What a musical trip! 'Round The World In A Blu-Tac Bobcat'! Underground electronic producer Cursor Miner (Lo Recordings) in the mix.
...and here's the Line site, too.

Bandcamp have got their custom domains sorted out. Hurrah.
'Hearts' is quite an exceptional album about heartbreak and, despite it lacking in instrumentation Line makes great use of the sounds created for the album and supplements it with some wonderful lyrical flourishes. I changed my mind about this album the more I listened to it.

Another review of Hearts: "Line – aka Neil Wells – has delivered a straight forward, but powerful brew of techno and downtempo beats, with some wicked tunes to boot."

"An exclusive first listen of the opening 20 minutes of his new Renaissance Master Series compilation (due out in late February)" featuring Boards of Canada, Trentemoller and (yes!) LJ Kruzer's remix of Cyan341.
Review of John Tejada's Fabric 44 from the, er, Burton Mail. Cool! "Seamlessly mixed and constantly building, Tejada has turned in a stunningly good set combining his own innovative productions with tracks from the likes of Orbital, Spooky and LJ Kruzer."
- ireallylovemusic › fabric 44 - john tejada ireallylovemusic.co.uk
Quite simply, john tejada has crafted an absolute stormer 75 minute mix of straight up techno that ebbs and flows perfectly. Ranging from detroit styled house, through to harder edged acid via some serene ambience, the mix is an excellent way to catch up when you don’t have the insider knowledge, nor budget to keep up with the more interesting, and dare i say it, somewhat exclusive, corners of the techno world.
New artist site. No music yet but who needs audio when there's desktop wallpaper.
"Synthpop, wonky techno and electronica from a selection of Uncharted Audio artists and their friends." I made this.

"Ploughing a uniquely British furrow through the woozy outer limits of electronic music, the London-based imprint is now six years old; this year, it gave birth to Signals - a subscription-only series of 7"s by artists including Cursor Miner and Si Begg."
Love the smell of warm vinyl in the morning? Russ Parsons, co-founder of London's Uncharted Audio imprint, talks to Spannered about his fondness of the black stuff and of the label's current Signals project.
