- Punkt. MP02 Pigeon punkt.ch
When it’s time to get online, the MP02’s 4G LTE connection can be shared with a tablet/laptop – which means easier typing in comparison with a smartphone, and a bigger screen. This two-device approach means that the Internet is something you dip into, rather than the other way round.
- Health hackers: the patients taking medical innovation into their own hands | Life and style | The Guardian theguardian.com
When people talk about innovation in healthcare, they have in mind a new malaria vaccine or a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. But these breakthroughs, despite the continued investment of hundreds of millions of pounds in research and development, are increasingly rare. The big gains in the future are likely to involve adaptations of existing technology such as mobile phones to enable the delivery of new forms of care in new ways by new players.

Do you want to test your next Mac OS X-to-Arduino project without always having the Arduino available? Do you want to test you cool Processing application when your mate hasn't finished writing the Arduino sketch? Do you want to do test driven development of your Mac OS X based application without dependency on your microcontroller?
A very low cost open source autonomous blimp. It consists of an Arduino-based blimp controller board with on-board infrared and ultrasonic sensors and an interface for an optional RC mode, a simple gondola with two vectoring (tilting) differential thrusters, and ground-based infrared beacon.
Sells small, low-power, reasonably cheap headless boxes.

"Instead of printing on bits of paper this 3D printer makes real, robust, mechanical parts. To give you an idea of how robust, think Lego bricks and you're in the right area. You could make lots of useful stuff, but interestingly you could also make most of the parts to make another 3D printer. That would be a machine that could copy itself." Want.
#design #tools #hacks #technology #hardware #prototyping #diy #electronics #engineering#fabrication#reprap "Free set of software tools that enable designers to easily "sketch in hardware". With no programming at all and working in the familiar environment of Flash, designers can hook up a physical sensor (e.g. a knob) and immediately get that knob to control a motor or a video projection. The toolkit works with a wide range of sensors, wireless sensors, input from the Wii Remote, controls motors and LEDs, communicates with MIDI devices, controls sound, graphics, and video in Flash, and communicates with DMX computer controlled lighting equipment, all with a simple drag-and-drop interface (of course, programming hooks are provided as well)."
- littleBits littlebits.cc
An opensource library of discrete electronic components pre-assembled in tiny circuit boards. Just as Legos allow you to create complex structures with very little engineering knowledge, littleBits are simple, intuitive, space-sensitive blocks that make prototyping with sophisticated electronics a matter of snapping small magnets together.
