- Why I am switching to promises | Hacker News news.ycombinator.com
The Node environment seems to have shifted from "use this for your one-off, high performance, I/O dominated real time service" to "hey, you know Javascript, build all your webapps in node, build your command line tools in node, build everything in node, since it's the lingua franca of the web." This latter trend sucks, and results in things that to me seem absolutely bonkers, like the Vows test framework.

- A light, progressive framework – Paul Hayes paulrhayes.com
We use RequireJS for dependency management, Jasmine for testing, and jQuery. Our framework is light, and is founded on a simple instantiation pattern: modules are marked up using data attributes, anything with a data-require attribute is deemed to be a module. On page load, our app finds these modules in the DOM, ‘requires’ them and their dependencies, instantiates them and starts them.
