Went to see Goldfrapp at the Spitz last night. The set was a bit short (half an hour??) but no less good for that. Not as good as the set at Irregular, probably due to nasty sound problems. Apparently Solex had similar problems the other week, and now bands playing at the Spitz seem to spend the first half of their set trying to stare out the sound people until they fix it. The Spitz also managed to refer to the band on all the posters as ‘Goldfrappe’ - we overheard Alison outside saying something along the lines of “They’ve make us sound like a fucking coffee!”, if memory serves. To be honest, it probably doesn’t ;) Although I do remember talking about kid’s TV - nooooo!

I’ll forget this if I don’t mention it now - there will be a free Goldfrapp MP3 appearing on the Mute site at some point in the near future - the Mick Harvey mix of “Utopia”.
